This urban conceptual piece was a study for perspective, shadows and working in connected blocks of colour (the underlying wash). As I worked my way across the sheet I started to shift the structure of the perspective to create the illusion of the houses suspended on a wall. You have the sense that maybe you’re trapped in a giant cylinder which you can only see from the sky. From the ground, all you can see is the urban landscape and it seems to never end.
