In 2025 I had the chance to visit the farm in Western Australia that I grew up on. It is a large broad-acre farm characterised by a mixture of white sandy flats, coffee coloured gravels, hard clay and rich river loam. Being back under those wide open skies, the scudding clouds and the quiet emptiness instantly took me back to some very peaceful and happy times. Look for the white sands and the bent over trees from the constant wind that every Western Australian knows so well. Painted on 300gsm cotton with Daniel Smith paints.
